The Thayer City Council met last night at City Hall for their regular monthly meeting. The Meeting began with the Council accepting the resignation of Councilman Ken Mckenzie. The Mayor then appointed and the council approved Steven Clark to fill the term on the Council left by McKenzie. The Council then approved the consent agenda and paid the bills. The City Council then heard from Austin Garrison from Garret Engineering about the water and sewer extension from the Jordan’s Project. He was asked about the timeline to start the project
He was asked if the old system could handle the new addition
If was also asked who was left to approve the project
Then Jon Thompson asked the council about the Price that Jordan’s would pay the City for the land
The Council then approved the election notice being printed in the newspaper. The Council then approved by a 3-2 vote resolution 2024-1 the Lagers Retirement plan change from level 1 to level 6.
The Council went into a closed session then after returning approved new windows for city hall and approved the employee holiday party and longevity pay.
The City Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall.
