High School Basketball
The Alton Comets opened their season on Tuesday with a loss at Bakersfield 70-43, Morris Collins led the Lions with 36 points, Kayden Williams and Corbin Tharp led the Comets with 13 points each. Alton will be back on the court on Saturday at the Current River Challenge at Van Buren. The Comets play East Carter
