The West Plains Zizzer boys got their first win of the season Thursday night defeating Mansfield 83 to 73 in first-round action of the Willard Tiger Classic at Willard High School. Clayton Robbins led the Zizzers with 29 points. The Zizzer boys will play Willard at 7 pm tonight in the winners bracket semi-final action. Zizzer boys are now 1 and 1 on the season.
The West Plains Lady Zizzers fell to Fair Grove 73 to 46 Thursday night in winners bracket semi-final action in the Fair Grove Tournament at Fair Grove. Jillian Green led the way with 20 points. The Lady Zizzers are now 1 and 2 and will play Clever at 2 pm for third place on Saturday afternoon.
The Thayer Lady Bobcats lost in the first round of the Billy Ply Memorial Tournament at Flippin, Mountain Home beat Thayer 74-49. Riley Davis led Thayer with 20 points, and Kayden Hillis added 11. The Lady Bobcats will play Highland who lost on a buzzer-beater to Bentonville 54-53. The game today starts at 5:30. Mountain Home will play Bentonville
