Several accidents reported over the weekend

A man from Ravenden Springs was injured in an accident south of Hardy on Friday. 39-year-old Clifton Wheelas was injured when he ran off the road hit a tree and overturned the vehicle he was driving. Wheelas was taken to White River Medical Center in Batesville. The accident happened on Highway 63 near the Williford turnoff.

Two Norfork residents were injured in a head-on collision on Friday.  52-year-old Travis Prillwitz and 55-year-old Kelly Henderson both suffered minor injuries when Prillwitz crossed the center of the road and hit the vehicle that Henderson was driving. The accident happened on Highway 5 near the Norfork Bridge. Prillwitz was charged with careless and prohibited driving and driving on a suspended license.

 

Two Birch Tree residents were injured in an accident in Shannon County on Friday. The Highway Patrol reports that a 39-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries and a 20-year-old woman suffered minor injuries when the vehicle driven by the 20-year-old entered the intersection of Highway 60 and County Road 681 and hit the vehicle that the 39-year-old was driving. The accident happened Friday night around 7.

 

A Birch Tree teen was injured when he tried to avoid hitting a deer Saturday afternoon southwest of Birch Tree. The highway patrol reports the 19-year-old suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy St Francis Hospital in Mountain View. The accident happened on Highway MM, eight miles southwest of Birch Tree.
