The Thayer Bobcats advance to the finals of the Lyon college tournament with a 73-51 win over Greers Ferry. Senior Devin Harrington had 32 points, and fellow senior Easton Pitts added 22. Pitts was 12-12 in free throws in the second half of the game. Thayer is now 2-0 and will play for the championship Saturday at 8 p.m. against Cedar Ridge.
The Mammoth Spring boys defeated Alton 56-46 in the Battle of the Border tournament in Mammoth Spring yesterday. Braxton Sneed and Aiden Matheny had 14 points each, along with 12 points being added from Caleb Michaels for the Bears. Alton’s leading scorer was Kayden Willard, he had 20 points. Mammoth Spring will play for the championship on Saturday at 7:30 against Calico Rock.
The Mammoth Spring Lady Bears played in the semifinals on Thursday. They defeated Viola with a score of 44-36. The Lady Bears will play again on Saturday for the championship at 6:00 against the Willow Springs Lady Bears

The West Plains Lady Zizzers won their home opener Thursday night by defeating Glendale 62 to 49. Freshmen Jillian Green led all scorers in the game with 23 points and Shaylee Peterson had 12 for the Lady Zizzers who are now 3 and 3 on the season. The Lady Zizzers hit a season-high 12 three-pointers in the game.
