
Fire Chief Rusty Warren spoke to Ecnn about a Fire that happened in Alton on Monday. The fire happened at Ozarks Machinery on HH highway in Alton. The fire was caused by the grinding of metal that was made of Magnesium and Aluminum which is highly flammable. The hot metal then caught dust on fire which then got into the bins of the building and caught Ozark’s Machinery on fire. Two firefighters had to be checked out after one explosion occurred. No injuries were reported. The Alton Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from other agencies from Rover, Thomasville, Thayer Volunteer Fire Department, BB Road, Howell Rural Fire Department, Myrtle, Brandsville, and the Oregon County Ambulance District.
