A warrant has been issued for a man from Horseshoe Bend for kidnapping and other charges. The Izard County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a rape and domestic battery that occurred in Horseshoe Bend, AR. During an investigation, it was found that the suspect 33-year-old Shawn Michael Higginbotham was incarcerated in Independence County on domestic-related charges involving the same victim. Higginbotham is being charged in Izard Country Circuit Court with rape, kidnapping, domestic battery 1st degree, and aggravated assault on a family or household member, and as a habitual offender.
