ST. LOUIS — Kasparas Jakucionis scored 21 points, including the go-ahead basket with 28 seconds left and Illinois defeated Missouri 80-77 on Sunday in the annual Braggin’ Rights game between the nonconference rivals.

Mark Mitchell and Tony Perkins scored 18 points each and Tamar Bates had 17 for Missouri (10-2), which saw its 10-game winning streak end.

 

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State used a strong second-half performance on both ends of the floor to turn back visiting UC Santa Barbara, 68-56, here Sunday in the Bears’ final non-conference contest.

The Bears (7-5) were led by Dez White’s game-high 26 points, including three 3-pointers and 11-of-12 makes at the foul line. Vincent Brady contributed 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Michael Osei-Bonsu tacked on 10 points and a pair of steals for the home side.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.  — Jonas Aidoo had a double-double, and his 17 points led seven in double figures as Arkansas rolled past North Carolina A&T 95-67 on Saturday for the Razorbacks’ fifth straight win.

Aidoo made 7 of 13 shots and grabbed 11 rebounds. Boogie Fland also had a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists. Adou Thiero scored 14 points, Karter Knox 11 and D.J. Wagner 10 as all five starters reached double figures.

 

JONESBORO, Ark. – Josh Hill scored 26 points as Arkansas State beat Coastal Carolina 97-67 on Saturday.

Hill shot 9 for 15, including 6 for 12 from beyond the arc for the Red Wolves (10-3, 1-0 Sun Belt Conference). Joseph Pinion scored 19 points while shooting 5 for 10 (4 for 7 from 3-point range) and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line and added five rebounds and three steals. Taryn Todd finished 6 of 11 from the field to finish with 13 points, while adding five rebounds and six assists.
