Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, provided us with the following preliminary statistics related to the Christmas holiday counting period:
Three people died in traffic crashes during the 30-hour counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2024, and ended at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
