Dozens of volunteers and donors provided fellowship for veterans on Thursday. Salutes of West Plains provided meals and fellowship for 100 veterans. This took place at the First Baptist Church Youth Center on Grove Street in West Plains. The event was put on by Salutes Veteran’s Shelter. Additionally, 2 meals were taken as carryout, and about 50 meals were delivered to Veterans. The meals were delivered to nursing homes that either had veteran residents or workers. The meal was provided by the owners of Bootleggers BBQ, Brian and Jessica Staack, and the Sweet Smoke Food trailer, owners Bobbie and Meryl Gullings.
