The Thayer Bobcats lost a close one to Melbourne last night 57 to 52. Mike Crase reported from the gym about the ball game.
The Bobcats will play Sloan Hendrix for 3rd place in the Maverick division tonight at 6:45 pm, Mike Crase will have the broadcast on Kkountry 95.
The Thayer lady Bobcats fell to Strafford 56-38 in the first round of the Pink and White tournament at Drury University. Abby Bowers led Thayer with 17 points and Riley Davis scored 12. The lady Bobcats play Saturday in the loser bracket play. Lady Bobcats are now 5-4 on the season.
The West Plains lady Zizzers defeated the Catholic Lady Irish 63-31 in the Pink and White tournament. Shaylee Peterson led the way with 19 points followed by Zoe Scharnhorst with 13. Lady Zizzers are now 5-3 on the season and will play Eldorado Springs at 5 pm on Saturday at the O’Reilly Family Event Center on the campus of Drury University in Springfield.
The West Plains Zizzer boys lose a heartbreaker to the Republic Tigers 54-53 in Overtime in the Blue and Gold Tournament. Zizzer boys are now 3-6 on the season and will play Hartville on Saturday at 2 pm at the Hammons Student Center. The Zizzer Boys and Girls games will be broadcast on 100.9 “The Train” on Saturday.
Also, Willow Springs defeated Buffalo 77-45 in the Blue and Gold.
Licking defeated Alton 60-51 in the tournament at Mountain Grove.

Norwood defeated Salem 72-43
Eminence defeated Mammoth Spring 51-49. Mammoth Spring will play Salem at 3:00 today.
