The West Plains Zizzer boys defeated Hartville 56 to 49 Saturday night in the Gold Division of the Blue and Gold Tournament in Springfield. West Plains was led by Clayton Robbins with 28 points and Jared Kraft had 15. The Zizzer boys are now 4 and 6 on the season and will play Nixa at 7 pm Monday night for 5th place at the Hammons Student Center.
The Thayer Lady Bobcats defeated Mt. Vernon 67 to 42 to advance to the Semi-Finals of the Consolation bracket in the Pink Division of the Pink and White Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Bobcats will play Greenwood at 9:30 am Monday at the Weiser Gym at Drury University.
The West Plains Lady Zizzers defeated the Eldorado Springs Lady Bulldogs Saturday 63 to 55 in winners bracket play of the White Division of the Pink and White Tournament. The Lady Zizzers were led by Freshman Ainsley McWilliams with 24 points, Freshman Jillian Green had 14 and Junior Zoe Scharnhorst had 11. The Lady Zizzers are now 6 and 3 and will play Springfield Hillcrest at 3:30 pm Monday in the semi-finals. El Dorado Springs is ranked 3rd in Class 3 in the state.
