FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Alijah Martin scored 14 points and three teammates also scored in double figures as No. 8 Florida defeated Arkansas 71-63 on Saturday.

Adou Thiero scored nine of his 17 points from the line for Arkansas (11-5, 0-3), starting conference play 0-3 for the second straight season and the third time in four years.

Arkansas plays at LSU on Tuesday.

 

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mark Mitchell scored 19 points, Missouri did not allow a point in the final two minutes, and the Tigers defeated Vanderbilt 75-66 on Saturday.

TROY, Ala.  – Taryn Todd scored 21 points as Arkansas State beat Troy 84-78 on Saturday night.

Joseph Pinion scored 17 points, shooting 5 for 10, including 5 for 9 from beyond the arc. Terrance Ford Jr. shot 5 of 7 from the field and 4 for 4 from the line to finish with 15 points while adding eight assists.

Up next for Arkansas State is a matchup Thursday with Louisiana at home.

 

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Jarrett Hensley scored 30 points and Drew Steffe added seven points in the overtime as Southern Illinois knocked off Missouri State 88-78 on Saturday night.

Vincent Brady II finished with 24 points for the Bears (7-10, 0-6). Zaxton King added 23 points for Missouri State.

On Wednesday, the Bears host Southern Illinois in a rematch at Great Southern Bank Arena.

 

POPLAR BLUFF MO.–The Missouri State-West Plains Grizzly Basketball team falls to 8-and-9 on the season with a loss Saturday to Three Rivers, 77-56. Shunderris Glass led the Grizzlies with 16 points and Ethan Smith added 10. The Grizzlies will host Jefferson College on Wednesday.
