SPRINGFIELD—Missouri State trailed by as many as 19 points in the first half and was unable to overcome Southern Illinois’ fast start in a 73-51 home setback here Wednesday in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Michael Osei-Bonsu led Missouri State (7-11, 0-7 MVC) with 17 points on 7-of-11 field goals and 9 rebounds, while Jalen Hampton tallied 14 points off the bench. Mozae Downing-Rivers accounted for 5 assists in his first appearance of 2025.
WEST PLAINS, MO.—The Missouri State-West Plains Grizzly basketball team improved to 9-9 on the season and 2-1 in conference play with a win last night over Jefferson College, 71-68. Ryan Richardson and Erge Kougnami led the Grizzlies with 19 points each, and Shaun Glass scored 10 points.
