SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State University and Arkansas State University have signed a home-and-home football series for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, the schools announced today (Jan. 22).
The non-conference series will open at Robert W. Plaster Field in Springfield on Sept. 25, 2027 before the Bears return the game to Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro on Sept. 16, 2028.
The teams have played four times previously in 1991, 1997, 1998, and 2015, all in Jonesboro.
MSU’s 2027 non-conference schedule will also include previously announced games at Auburn (Sept. 4) and Cincinnati (Sept. 11).
Missouri State will officially join Conference USA as an FBS member on July 1, 2025. Conference USA has not yet announced conference game dates and opponents for 2025 and beyond.
