On Wednesday, around noon, the Shannon County Sheriff’s command staff and the Sheriff, along with members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), were serving a high-risk arrest warrant in the Birch Tree area. This residence was located approximately 1 mile from the Birch Tree School District. As a precautionary measure, the Sheriff placed the school on lockdown to ensure the safety of all students and staff. The lockdown has since been lifted.
No details on the arrest warrant have been released at this time.
