The West Plains Zizzer boys defeated Marshfield Tuesday night in first-round action of the Family Pharmacy Panther Classic at Mt. Grove 53 to 41. Clayton Robbins led the Zizzers with 25 while Jared Kraft added 16. The Zizzers are now 9 and 8 on the season.
The Mammoth Spring Bears and Lady Bears were at home last night in a conference match-up with the Izard County Cougars. In the Girl’s game, the Mammoth Spring Lady Bears lost to Izard County 55-43. Molly Corbitt led the Lady Bears with 15 points, Jailee Tyson had 12 and Bethany Robbins had 11 points. Izard County had four players in double figures led by Quinn Johnson with 17. In the Boys game, Izard County won over Mammoth Spring, 62-48. The Bears were led by Braxton Snead with 17 points and Caleb Michaels with 10. The Cougars were led by Gabe Spray with 22 points and Cash Arnhart with 18.
