Mountain View Police Department Public Service Announcement
On January 29, 2025, at approximately 8:10 AM, the Mountain View Police Department received a 911 call regarding an assault near MVBT Elementary School. Out of an abundance of caution, MVPD contacted the school administration and requested the school be placed on a soft lockdown until the situation was resolved.
Officer McGee responded swiftly and located a male suspect approximately one block from the school. The suspect was taken into custody without incident for active warrants, and additional charges will be filed as part of the ongoing assault investigation.
Once the situation was contained, the school was promptly notified, and the soft lockdown was immediately lifted.
