On Friday, the Mountain View Police Department initiated a traffic stop on West Highway 60. The vehicle’s operator refused to comply, then fled the scene nearly striking officers with his vehicle. During the pursuit,t the driver discarded a bag containing over 4 ounces of suspected meth. The chase was terminated when officers lost sight of the vehicle after it left the roadway through private properties. The suspect in this matter is known to law enforcement.
