
Two people were injured in an accident in Ripley County Sunday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that a 9-year-old boy from Naylor suffered serious injuries and a 41-year-old man from Naylor suffered minor injuries when the man drove off the road and hit a tree. The accident happened on Highway T, two miles south of Highway 160. The child was flown to St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
An Ozark County man was injured in an accident east of Pontiac on Saturday. The Highway Patrol reports that a 34-year-old man from Pontiac suffered moderate injuries when he drove off the road and overturned the pickup he was driving. The accident happened on Highway W, two miles east of Pontiac.
A Doniphan man was injured in an accident east of Poplar Bluff Saturday morning. A 40-year-old man suffered minor injuries when he drove off the road and hit a mailbox and an embankment. He was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The Highway Patrol no longer releases names in their accident reports, but they did report that at the same time of the accident, they arrested 40-year-old Clifford Blake of Doniphan for DWI, failure to maintain the right half of the road resulting in a crash, and no seat belt. He was released.
