41-year-old David Bennett fled from a deputy in Moody on Highway 142. Bennett at one point rammed a police vehicle with his vehicle in reverse, a barely missed another patrol vehicle. He traveled on state route E toward the Arkansas State Line attempted to turn onto the state line road and traveled into the ditch. Bennett crashed into a fence and then tried to exit the vehicle. Bennett was tased and then complied and was arrested. He was taken to the Howell County jail. Bennett was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree against a Special Victim (two counts) and Resisting Arrest by fleeing- creating a Substantial Risk of Serious Injury/ Death to Any Person. His bond was set at $25,000.00
