The City of Licking has been awarded $2.5 million from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to upgrade its water system. The city will replace several thousand feet of water mains, service lines, and hydrants at multiple locations. The funding consists of a $1.7 million grant and a $1.27 million low-interest loan. The project is expected to be completed by December.
