46-year-old Shane Eugene Carson pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of arson. He allegedly put a piece of wood under a gas meter at Wendy’s on Highway 62/412 and tried unsuccessfully to set it on fire. He later returned with more material and did manage to set the material on fire, but an employee noticed the fire and put it out. Carson was caught on security cameras trying to start the fire.
