A woman has been arrested in Randolph County for allegedly stealing nearly $250,000 in lottery tickets. 46-year-old Billie Rainwater was arrested for the theft first reported in October 2024 at Mill Creek Liquor in Pocahontas. Rainwater worked at the store. The owner of the store told authorities that each roll of tickets cost $600 and that about four rolls a week had been taken since 2021. Rainwater allegedly admitted to taking several rolls of tickets during her post-Miranda interview. Rainwater was booked into Randolph County jail and then released on $5,000 bond.
