On Wednesday Abigail L. Cantrell was arrested and taken into custody. Cantrell is accused of making serious threats via a social media platform, threatening to cause bodily harm, including death, to school students. These threats were taken very seriously by the SCSO, and appropriate action was swiftly taken to ensure the safety of the community.
The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office wants to emphasize that threats of violence, particularly those directed at our most vulnerable—our schoolchildren—will not be tolerated. They take these matters seriously and will pursue all avenues to hold individuals accountable for their actions.
