The burglary happened on EE Highway and when deputies arrived the suspects fled. The detective recognized the vehicle and a search warrant was served as a result. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Ava Police executed the search warrant at the residence of 41-year-old Joshua Melton. Melton and 31-year-old Cierra Ellis were both arrested at the residence and 44-year-old Dustin Benson was arrested later. Several items stolen in the burglary were recovered. The three are charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, property damage, and theft. Their bonds were set at $15,000 each.
