Missouri State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick is investigating the former Neelyville City Clerk. His investigation found a whistleblower complaint alleging the use of taxpayers’ money by the former City Clerk Ginna Davis to be credible. An audit is now ongoing to find out the extent of the fraud that might have taken place. The audit was requested by the City’s Board of Aldermen. The audit by the State Auditor found the potential for fraudulent transactions including insufficient cash deposits, questionable expenditures that are not supported by invoices, and concerns with the payroll checks.
