NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For the first time in more than 30 years, the Razorbacks have swept the Commodores in Nashville.Second-ranked Arkansas (26-3, 8-1 SEC) scored five runs, including solo blasts from Charles Davalan and Logan Maxwell, in the eighth to pull away from No. 14 Vanderbilt (20-8, 4-5 SEC) and leave town with a 7-3 win Sunday afternoon at Hawkins Field, securing its first sweep of the Commodores since 2005 as well as its first sweep in Nashville since 1994.

 

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Behind a pair of shutdown pitching performances and an offense that hit five home runs, No. 7 Texas claimed both ends of a doubleheader with University of Missouri baseball, edging the Tigers, 7-4 in the first game before completing the sweep of the two clubs’ Southeastern Conference series with a 7-1 decision in the nightcap Saturday at Taylor Stadium.

 

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State picked up its fifth series victory in seven weekends this season with an 8-3 win Sunday afternoon against Belmont at Hammons Field.

WEST PLAINS MO.—The Missouri State-West Plains Grizzly Baseball team won both games of a doubleheader on Saturday with Metropolitan Community College 9-8 and 5-0. The Grizzlies improved to 13-21 on the season.
