28 year old Patrick Dean Rew was arrested for allegedly assaulting several people, including a 76-year-old man and a 15-year-old juvenile. The incidents happened at the Littlefield Gas Station and at a laundromat in the same parking lot. Rew told authorities that he was protecting his family and admitted to smoking K2 earlier. Video footage allegedly shows Rew struggling with the 76 year old man before the man drew his pistol and fired two shots into the air and ten hit Rew in the head with the butt of the gun. Rew was found with a head wound outside the gas station. Rew has been charged with first-degree felony, first-degree battery, and attempted commercial burglary and misdemeanors third-degree battery and criminal mischief. He was taken to the Independence County jail, and bond was set at $150,000
