The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that they have been approved for a donation of safety equipment from the U.S. Deputy Sheriffs Association (USDSA). This generous donation includes two stop sticks tire deflation devices, which will be used during (a dangerous felony) vehicle pursuits to safely deflate tires and bring dangerous pursuits to a safe end.
Captain Justin Brumble initiated the request to the USDSA, and they are grateful for their generous support. As part of this donation, Captain Brumble and Sergeant Burgher have each been issued a set of stop sticks for their patrol vehicles.
This addition enhances the safety of our officers and the community during high-risk situations.
