The Howell County Sheriff’s Office raised over $40,000 with a surplus property sale held on Sunday. This was the first sale in several years, and the Sheriff said the money will be used to pay off an outstanding vehicle purchase from 2021, with the remaining funds reinvested into the operations of the Sheriff’s Office. Billy Sexton Auction Service conducted the sale. In addition to raising funds, the sale has cleared valuable storage space.
