Royals beat Colorado on Thursday

KANSAS CITY, Mo.  — Bobby Witt Jr. extended his hitting streak to a career-best 16 games with an RBI single in the fifth inning, and the Kansas City Royals went on to beat the Colorado Rockies 6-2 on Thursday to cap off a doubleheader and series sweep.

Kansas City rallied for a 7-4 victory in the opener, caused by a rainout Wednesday night.

Today, Kansas City hosts Houston, and  Seth Lugo starts.

 

The St. Louis Cardinals had Thursday off and now will host Milwaukee. Matthew Liberatore gets the start.
