Contracts awarded for road work in Southeast Missouri

SIKESTON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for the Southeast District during its regular meeting on May 7. Contracts included bridge replacements, erosion control repairs, guard cable and guardrail repairs and sidewalk improvements.

Contracts included the following:

  • A $745,884 contract was awarded to Widel, Inc., for erosion control repairs along Routes 60 and 67 in the Southeast District.
  • A $5,000,000 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Company, for pavement resurfacing on the following routes in Butler County:
    • Business Route 67 from Business Route 60 to Route M,
    • Route M from one half mile west of Business 67 to Business 67 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and;
    • Business Route 60 from Route W to west of Route B in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
  • A $871,060 contract was awarded to Joe’s Bridge & Grading, Inc., for a bridge replacement on Route A over Cane Creek in Carter County.
  • A $3,003,750 contract was awarded to James H. Drew Corporation, for guard cable and guardrail repairs at various locations throughout the Southeast District.
  • A $184,900 contract was awarded to Putz Construction, LLC, for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalk improvements at various locations throughout the Southeast District.
