The Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation purchased and donated five (5) Biometric FBI Certified portable fingerprint sensor devices. Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies, Criminal Investigators, and other Sheriff’s Office Personnel will use the portable device.
The fingerprint sensor is a valuable tool that can view and monitor information after the fingerprint is scanned on the screen, giving an identification of anyone in the State and National fingerprint database. This will allow deputies to quickly obtain the identity of an unknown suspect and/or an unidentified person at the scene of a crime or on the roadside.
At a cost of more than $14,000, we are extremely grateful for this gift and for the continued support from the Foundation.
