
LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas homeowners and renters who were affected by severe storms in March or April may apply for FEMA disaster assistance online, by phone, or in person.
Financial assistance after the March 14-15 severe storms and tornadoes is available to eligible residents of Greene, Hot Spring, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph, Sharp, and Stone counties.
For the April 2-22 severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding, assistance is available to eligible residents of Clark, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Desha, Fulton, Hot Spring, Jackson, Miller, Ouachita, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Sharp, St. Francis, and White counties.
Arkansans in Hot Spring, Jackson, Randolph, and Sharp counties who applied for FEMA assistance after the March 14-15 storms, and who had additional damage or losses from the April 2-22 storms, can make an additional application for the April severe weather.
Disaster assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster. By law, FEMA cannot pay for losses covered by homeowners’ or renters’ insurance.
