According to reports, the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force, the Independence County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office received information that 43-year-old Billy Burge Jr. had been dealing large amounts of fentanyl and other drugs. Investigators used a confidential informant to purchase fentanyl from Burge on three occasions. Burge was arrested for trafficking drugs and is also charged as a habitual offender. He is being held in Independence County Jail with a bond set at $200,000. He will be in court on June 10th.
