High School Track & Field
Congratulations to the Zizzer Track and Field team on a great Sectional meet! West Plains High School Zizzer Boys Track and Field team brought home the Class 4 Sectional Champion title. Two previous set records were broken on Saturday. The state qualifiers for next weekend’s MSHSAA State Track and Field Championship held in Jefferson City, MO include.
State Qualifiers:
- Jared Kraft: High Jump
- Boys 4×100 Relay: Cameron Miller, Zack Tinsley, William Stauffer, and Lincoln Miller
- Girls 4×200 Relay: Ashlyn Tinsley, Lilly Dixon, Mylea Adams, Lyndzey Casey, Hadley Ball, and Rylee Smith.
- Boys 4×800 Relay: Hoyt Stiner, Trevin Smith, Kyler Gunter, and Carson King
- Zack Tinsley: 200 M Dash
- Cameron Miller: 100 M Dash
- Jocelyn Denny: Discus
- Jaxon Hunter: Shot Put and Discus
- Mylea Adams: Long Jump, Triple Jump, and 200 M Dash
- Carson King: 3200 M Run and 1600 M Run
- Kyler Gunter: 3200 M Run
- Ashlyn Tinsley: High Jump
- Boys 4×200 Relay: Lincoln Miller, Cameron Miller, Trentin Jeffords, William Stauffer, and Zack Tinsley
- Emily Ritter: 1600 M Run
Broken Records at Sectionals:
- Boys 4×100 Relay: Cameron Miller, Zack Tinsley, William Stauffer, and Lincoln Miller. Ran time of 41.86 at the Sectional Meet, breaking the previous record of 42.34. (Pictured below-1)
- Jaxon Hunter: Broke his own discus school record by throwing 51.36 meters
