The Howell County Sheriff’s Office has been checking out leads in the southern part of the county after a reported suspicious person was sighted in the Moody and Bakersfield area. Deputies responded but were unable to locate anyone. Sheriff Matt Roberts, in a post on social media, said he has spoken with Izard County Sheriff Melton and the Arkansas State Police to advise them of the possible sighting. When he spoke with Sheriff Melton, there was no information at that time indicating the escapee had traveled into Missouri.

Sheriff Roberts said he has been closely following this incident for several days and knows there have been other possible sightings in Arkansas. Most recently, Investigators in Arkansas were following up on a tip that the escapee might be in Faulkner County, Arkansas.

There was also a reported sighting in Sharp County in the Cave City area, but according to reports, there was no evidence that Harden was in the Cave City area.

The FBI is now offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the capture of Grant Harden.

Harden was serving time at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock on murder and rape charges.
