The Highway Patrol says that the 37 year old man suffered serious injuries when traffic came to a stop for a vehicle turning off Missouri Highway 5, a man from Squires failed to slow down and hit the rear of vehicle the man from Ava was in, causing a chain reaction crash that included three more vehicles. No one else was injured in the crash. The accident happened on Missouri Highway 5, five miles north of Ava.
