Authorities have arrested an unidentified person after a high-speed chase through Lawrence County on Sunday. According to reports, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office initiated a pursuit of a motorcycle for speeding on Highway 63. The pursuit reached speeds up to 115 MPH in the Portia area. Police from Hoxie and Walnut Ridge attempted to assist in the pursuit. The pursuit then turned onto Highway 25 in Black Rock toward Powhatan. The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police were both asked to assist in the pursuit. The motorcycle was finally stopped at an intersection in Lynn, Arkansas. The suspect was taken into custody, and at this time, no name has been released.
