MAYNARD, Ark. — On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Randolph County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 30-year-old Joshua Kane Smith, of Maynard, in connection with the death of 47-year-old Christopher Lee Borreson, also of Maynard.
Smith was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he is facing charges of First-Degree Murder.
RCSO requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) following a homicide in the 2900 block of Pitman Road in Maynard.
The deceased was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the cause and manner of death.
