Yesterday morning at approximately 05:00 a.m. Howell County Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to a report of suspicious activity near the Dollar General in Caulfield, MO. The report came from a concerned citizen, who observed a small black car with a male and female acting suspiciously before driving across the road to the 101 Saddle Club Arena.
Deputy Malone arrived at 05:17 hours and located the vehicle, unoccupied, near the concession stand. Upon investigation, he located two individuals hiding inside the stand. The suspects were identified as:
Sasha Blue Ledbetter Potter, age 28
Colby Lee Crossley, age 33
Both were detained without incident and later arrested. A search of the suspects and their vehicle revealed multiple syringes, knives, cutting tools, and a bag containing several trail cameras and SD cards. A small amount of change, believed to have been taken from a tip jar inside the concession stand, was also recovered. Crossley admitted to taking the change, while Ledbetter admitted they entered the concession stand due to financial hardship.
A total of approximately $3.00 in change was recovered
Further investigation revealed the suspects had no insurance or registration on the vehicle and that Ledbetter’s driver’s license was suspended and expired. Both suspects were transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center. Both Sasha Blue Ledbetter Potter and Colby Lee Crossley were each charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, a class D Felony, and each is being held on a $5000.00 Bond.
