According to reports, 51-year-old William Dene Machen threatened to show up at Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ Capital Day event in Batesville with an AR-15. Machen allegedly sent a text message to a victim threatening physical harm at the event on Thursday. Machen’s cellphone was seized, and messages were extracted from the phone that he sent to the victim. Machen is a former state employee who was terminated for theft. Machen has been charged with first-degree stalking.
