
On 06/09/25, Ozark County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) alongside the Howell County SWAT team, Officers Operation Relentless Pursuit Task Force, and U.S. Marshals Service successfully executed a search and arrest warrant at the residence in Theodosia.
During the warrant, Joshua Cook barricaded himself and threatened to shoot law enforcement. Negotiator, Deputy Beaver was able to assist and convince Cook to surrender himself peacefully as the team worked together to get him in custody, utilizing tools and tactics to keep deputies and the suspects safe. The arrest/search warrant resulted in the following.
The arrest of Joshua Cook for his federal warrant, as well as picking up two local charges of possession of a firearm by a felon/fugitive and resisting arrest. He was taken into custody by the Marshals (no booking photo).
The arrest of Shane Cook for possession of firearms by a felon, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of meth and paraphernalia, and hindering prosecution. He was booked into jail on those charges.
