The Highway Patrol says the boy was injured when an ATV driven by a 59-year-old man from Plato entered the roadway from private property and failed to yield to the motorcycle the 11-year-old was driving. The boy was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Walnut Road, a tenth of a mile south of Highway AW.
