A Horseshoe Bend man was killed in a Lawn Mower accident.

The Izard County Sheriff’s Office reports that 73-year-old William Losh was killed. According to the Sheriff’s Office, early Monday morning, around 1 am, Izard County Dispatch received a report of a missing Horseshoe Bend man. The caller stated that the man had borrowed a lawn mower the afternoon before to cut his grass, but had not returned it, and his yard remained unmowed, and the man could not be located. Izard County Deputies immediately began a search. At approximately 7:30 a.m., Losh and the lawn mower were located at the intersection of North Shore Drive and Michigan Avenue in Horseshoe Bend. Deputies determined that Losh had been mowing near the intersection when the mower overturned into a culvert hidden by underbrush, making the scene difficult to detect. Tragically, the mower landed on top of Losh, fatally trapping him beneath it.
