Friday, the Thayer Chamber of Commerce and E-Communications will be hosting the annual Thayer July 4th celebration beginning at 5 pm at the Thayer High School Football Field. The Evening will be filled with fun and excitement. There will be kids’ games, food booths, Free watermelon, an Air-Evac Demonstration, skydivers, and entertainment by the Southern Edge Band. Also, E-Communications will be announcing the winner of the Pay-triotic Payday. Someone will win $4,000 in Cash Cards from Community First Banking Company, Skillets in West Plains, and E-Communications. Then, when it’s dark, there will be a huge fireworks show. Admission is free, and gates open at 5 pm.
