On June 21, 2025, officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Mammoth Spring Police Department were dispatched to the Saddler Falls are in regards to a woman who had fallen out of a canoe on the Spring River.
Crista Allman, 25, and another friend were floating the river when they came to “Needles Eye” turn, and Crista fell out of the boat. Emergency Medical personnel arrived and began to render life-saving aid. Crista was transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility in Sharp County, where she was later pronounced deceased. The incident is still under investigation pending the Medical Examiner’s report.
