Two people were arrested after a high-speed chase in Independence County.

According to reports, a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle after they discovered it had no insurance. The vehicle driven by 27-year-old Kenzie Breanna Dunegan fled a led deputies on a chase at speeds exceeding 75 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. The Passenger was identified as 23-year-old Kameron Layne Roberson of Batesville. Both suspects fled into the woods after stopping the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. Roberson was arrested a short time later and taken to the Hospital for a possible overdose. Dunegan was found hours later after her father contacted authorities. Dunegan is charged with felony fleeing, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and fleeing on foot; she was also charged as a habitual offender. Her bond was set at $40,000. Roberson was charged with felony possession of meth and fleeing on foot. His bond was set at $25,000.
