PHOENIX — Eugenio Suárez homered twice for the second consecutive day and Merrill Kelly allowed two runs in six innings to help the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 on Sunday.

MIAMI— Kris Bubic pitched five shutout innings, Salvador Perez homered and doubled, and the Kansas City Royals beat Miami 7-4 on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep and end the Marlins’ winning streak at four.
